A busy day!

Well yesterday was an off day. Not in me being off but just out of whack.
I got to work, and while waiting for my boss the deluge started. He got there and I got soaked just walking to the door. 

Then I got more soaked walking back to the car. Especially since he had a box that HAD to go up with me. Remember I am driving Chris's honda sport (aka the clown car) So while finagling the box into the car I got drenched.
  Repeat the first part at the bank, then the second in reverse, and walking from the parking lot into the mall and I was nearly drowned. I love rain, really but not all at once on my way to open  a store!

Then I go to do the pc up load and it decides it is the perfect time to reset... I did my first sale of the day with a calculator and my memory of prices. After 2 hours it finally finishes (we did not want to risk damaging info by stopping it but at the 11/2 hour mark we decided we might need to). Well just as I was about to stop it and set up the old register, it finished! However (you knew that was coming didn't you?) it froze and would not shut down... the off button did not even work so I hit the tiny hard to hit button that does a hard reboot. Once it rebooted it worked fine for me and the rest of my shift was decent with sales.

I also yesterday morning finished the book Women in an Alien Land by Johanna Bos and will post a review shortly.

Today I am devoting to laundry and sewing with some cooking tossed in so I do not get bored.

There is not much gardening I can do as everything is totally soaked and one's life is in grave danger of being sucked into muddy mire if one attempts to walk across the yard!

So today I will work on aprons and look longingly at this kit while I decide if I will buy it or not. I love all things Ann you remember, Anne of Green Gables and Raggedy as well! (It is my middle name you know)

Well as my friend Sharon reminded me on facebook my sewing deadline is fast approaching and if I am to be done I must get to it!
