Happy First day!

Welcome to Sunday! Today will be a bit busier than most with me in the kitchen  a lot.

Last night we went to the in laws and they took us out to dinner. To Cheddars. I have been there twice, and I am just not impressed.  The lemonade is sort of tolerable. The Talapia with mango salsa, well lets just say all I could feel was heat and all I could taste was salt. Talapia is a delicate fish, it doesn't take much to over come it. The mango did not come through at all. I guess I will have to learn to make Mango salsa myself to taste it.

I found an interesting recipe yesterday for ricotta cheese cookies. I love the creaminess of ricotta. Plus I love watching Giada cook with it. She is so much fun in the kitchen, and she doesn't use alcohol in every show like some do. She loves food, and it shows! I have 2 of her cook books but have not been brave enough to try using them. Though I am getting there! 

I got 2 repair projects done yesterday. Well one was altering an apron, but I am still not happy with it, it may need more tweaking yet. I will decide soon. My big project hit a snag. We are working around it.

I am scouting material to alter 3 aprons I have been gifted by friends. I love the ladies who sent them. I need to alter them though because they are 1/2 aprons and I only use full aprons. I do this because I do not wipe my hands on them as much as I get splatters on my blouses... so I am looking to match or at least accent these 3 gorgeous aprons I was blessed with so I can use them instead of hiding them in  my apron drawer. 

Well I think I am going to zip around the web and see what is new.
