Ramblings

Allergies are a pain. Especially when they suddenly attack you.
However I kind of like being up at 530 in the morning. I already read my daily proverb, (4) I also read my daily chapter (Mark 4) for a 30 day scripture challenge I am doing. The house is quiet. Beloved is doing his morning thing, he will leave in a few minutes. I feel energized today... and hungry!

Judy is now a Texan. We went yesterday and got her set up. She should receive her id in 3-4 weeks. The DPS had just mowed their grass. I love the smell of fresh cut grass... however it is the cause of the allergy attack that hit so hard last night.

I feel for my snow bound sisters, here yesterday's high was 75. I had the door open, the bathroom window too. It was so cool to hear the children next door laughing and playing. We are supposed to have such glorious weather (after the storms last week I need some!) for several days. Storms are possible beginning Saturday. We have had a colder and wetter winter than I remember in the 17 years that I have lived here. We arrived in Texas on March 3rd 1993. Perhaps I will tell of the huge storm that happened that May some day. I hope the wet winter bodes well for the farmers and ranchers in the area! Including our garden!

For the hungry part I may have a yogurt before work. Supper is a pot roast my friend Ann raves about. We will have that, glazed baby carrots and garlic mashed potatoes.

Today if all goes as planned I will meet up with my friend Kelley and we will do a mall walk. There is actually a mall walkers club. Since I prefer to exercise at home though I have never joined it. I guess I should, I am at the mall 4 days a week anyway... Judy plans to do our mall walk with us. I think Kelley will bring her little girl. I adore that child she is sweet and cute and adorable. I have adopted her as my grandbaby (Kelley is older than my boys but who care!)

Well my Beloved has left and I can't think of anything else to ramble on about, my brain is now empty!
hugs y'all, whether you get snow or sun have a blessed day!

  1. Let me know what you think about the roast! I hope it's as yummy for you as it is for us. I had it for lunch again yesterday and YUMMO!!! The only thing I do is to add cornstarch and water to thicken the gravy a little bit because we like some substance to ours. I should have internet access (HOPEFULLY) so I'll try to get on even when I'm away. :) Have a great weekend if I don't talk to you otherwise!

  3. Ann's meals always sound so delicious ~ I'm sure your roast will turn out great.

I'm a tad jealous of your sunshine and warm temperatures, though, my friend. We're to get more snow and rain throughout the weekend. But, the temps are high 30's, so that is a blessing. I'll take it!

I'm so glad to hear you're feeling well today. May your blessings be abundant, Dear One.
